For most independent professionals, the useful search is not national. It is someone nearby looking for a specific kind of help, right now.
Claim and complete your business profile
A complete, accurate profile on relevant map and search services is a useful starting point. Hours, service area, categories, contact details and real photographs all contribute. Keep the same name, address and phone number everywhere you appear.
Give each service and location its own page
Create a separate service page when it answers a distinct customer need with substantive information. Location pages need real local relevance; do not create near-identical pages by swapping city names.
Answer the questions people actually type
Fees, timelines, documents required, and what happens at a first appointment are the questions behind most searches. Pages that answer them plainly tend to attract better-qualified enquiries.
Reviews, handled honestly
Ask satisfied clients to describe their experience in their own words, respond to what people write, and never incentivise or script reviews. Where your profession's rules restrict testimonials, follow those rules first.
TAKE THIS FORWARD
Keep listing details accurate and give distinct services useful, relevant pages.
